The wines of Puligny-Montrachet are generally characterised by greater firmness and depth than those of Meursault, and by greater refinement and delicacy than those of Chassagne. They are characterised by very distinctive aromas : almond, fern, exotic fruit, amber and white flowers. His acidity in the mouth is rather subtle. They can be kept between 8 and 12 years. These great wines are destined to honour Haute Cuisine as wonderful shellfish cooked in bouillon, creamed and poached fish, poultry liver pâtés. Also with the tastes of very strong-smelling cheeses : Munster and mature Comté.
